Esssay 2-02b: Robin Hood

Probably many people recognize Robin Hood as a famous person, but the origin of it is from an animal, a fox that worked with a bear, Little John. Robin Hood and Little John were good at stealing many things from the rich. After that they gave them to the poor. Because of Robin's actions, he was regarded as a hero by the poor, while he was regarded as annoying fox by the rich. There was a reason why they were good at stealing money. It was because they were also good at disguise.

One day,  they stole something worthy from a king who loved money very much. The king rules a place in which people were forced to pay much money and it made them difficult to live. While they were struggling to live in the severe environment, Little John and Robin Hood appeared to help them. Robin Hood pretended to be a augur, who stared at someone’s hands and said their future. While he pretended, he stole much money and distributed money around the town. Little John also worked as a guardsman of Robin Hood. As a result, it made people happy and the king annoyed.

There was a very cute girl in a castle. Her name was Marian which was also fox. She and Robin Hood loved each other  for a long time. They couldn’t see for a long period. That’s why she felt that he didn’t love her or forget her existence, but it was not true and he loved her. Marian had a close friend, Crack which supported their lovely relationship.

One day, Robin Hood heard about a rumor that a shooting competition had been going to be held. As a result, he could attend it and win. This competition was held to attract him by King who hated Robin.The king knew that Robin would win the competition before it was held and he tried to catch Robin after the competition,but he could escape from the king because of support of many people who lived in the country and loved Robin.

Robin’s action reminded me of a phrase said by Mother Teresa. She said: ‘if you want to be loved, you have to love. This phrase is applicable to his action. Actually, he didn’t hope that he was loved,but he was nice and as a result he was loved and he made many people happy. When he was in danger, he was helped by many people who loved or were grateful for Robin’s action. Robin did something morally right but he did something illegally wrong. That’s why I can decide whether what  he did was cool or not. 

We like this movie. We could learn about something we didn’t know and remind me of what justice is. Recently, I am studying the UN. The UN stands for the united nations which is one of the biggest organization to keep the world piece. I think the UN seems similar to Robin’s action because the organization tries to help many people improve their lifestyle and other many things,but there is a totally different point between the UN and Robin’s action which is that he did something for many people with courage and he didn’t expect any return from them,while the UN try to help people and developed countries develop more and earn more money. I sometimes forget what is right and wrong morally. I think I should do something morally right even it is thought to be bad from the vision of many people. I recommend that many people should watch this movie. Especially I want  this movie to be watched by teenagers. Teenagers have lived more than ten years and they have  opinions about what justice is. This movie gives them an opportunity to consider it again.

Essay 2-01b: My Favourite Place

I'd like to introduce my favourite place, the English Lounge. There is a lounge called English Lounge in 1st building of
KGU. Many people especially KGU students or graduate students often go
there and talk to each other in English. Sometimes most of them talk to
each other in Japanese. It's not good thing in English Lounge because
English Lounge *exist to improve people's abilities of English. If
people don't try to speak English in English Lounge, existence of English lounge is completely nonsense.


There
are many activities to do in English lounge. What people do in English
lounge is not only talking to each other but also giving presentations
about international students' countries, watching movies, holding
parties like Halloween party and Christmas party. This semester,
because of most of international students coming to English lounge, it
makes easier for some Japanese to come there. I want more students to
come to English lounge but it is difficult for me to gather just only
students who are interested in English.[Is this the end of a paragraph?

I think when some students hear what
the English Lounge is, they may come to English even if they don't
like English very much. I want students who are interested in English to
come to English lounge.


In
English Lounge, there is a workshop called [the] TOEIC workshop. I am a
host of that workshop. The aim is to improve our English skills and
TOEIC *score by doing something fun. I held it on 14th October. A few
people came and looked eager. I was so impressed with their attitude and
I had misunderstood that there had been no person who wants to study English
for TOEIC. The most crowded time in English lounge is lunch time.
Everyone is free during lunch time and they look relaxed. I often go
there during lunch time. When I go there then, I watch promotion videos
on youtube and see some of international students and talk to them .


The most enjoyable activity in English is event held regularly such as Halloween party. This year, it is going to be held on 25th October from 6:30. The good point is free. Every student can attend it for free. Even if people have no money, they can enjoy it.

I think English lounge is the best place to improve English skills in KGU enjoying using English. Now English skills are required more many field around the world than in the past. I think KGU students might as well come to English Lounge and get used to English and interaction with many people who are new for them.

Revised version of Your Valuable university Life

I am writing to first year students. I think you feel nervous the first day of university and look forward to it. You may be in complicated situation,but please don't worry. I explain about something fun in KGU.

There are many aspects you can enjoy,get information how to study English,have opportunity to meet many new people.

First, let me explain about the places you will often go after entering KGU. Library is the most useful place for students to look for something they don't know, they are interested in. The library is very big, and has many books,DVDs,VHS,CD,archive. It has a special feature which is very helpful for you. Library can share books with other Libraries. You can check out books which are not KGU library by doing it. As you already know, you have to do anything in silence in library,but there is a place in library which is called "study room." You can speak a lot and study with your friends there. You have to speak by moderate volume. If you don't do that or you bother others, you will be forced to get out library,and you will feel awkward next time when you enter. Most of librarians may be kind of you if you are polite,and they help you find books you can't find by yourself.There is another beneficial thing by keeping good relationship with librarians. It is you can order books which are not in KGU library. As I explained above, although you can get books from other libraries, you can request KGU library buy books you want to read. It is easier for person keeping good relationship like me to order.That's why you should use library politely and usefully.

Next is English Lounge, you can communicate with some international students and senior students. All of them are very friendly. Even if you don't speak English, international students may understand what you say because they are very smart, most of them had already studied Japanese in their country before they came KGU. They like to talk in Japanese. Sometimes you will be a teacher in English Lounge. Even though they can speak Japanese , their Japanese is not perfect,so they need you help. Please help them understand Japanese clearly by using easy Japanese. You will be helped by them in return someday.

Finally, KGU is nice place for eager students to study. When you bother how to study or don't understand something complicated. You can solve the problem by yourself by using places I explained or by asking professor, teacher,classmates. Most of people I have meet so far are very kind of me,and talk to me friendly,so I have never hesitated to go to KGU. Don't worry anything. You will just enjoy university as a student of KGU.

Essay 1-02a: Your Valuable university Life

I am writing to you as a senior for congratulation on going up to English department of KGU. I think English department is the hardest department in KGU as far as I know. Even if you went in to KGU as you didn't hope to go in to, please don't give up studying or be lazy. Some friends of mine tends not to study English in KGU because of such a reason, but Please don't do this. This may make your  valuable university life a waste. I know how you feel. You may not have any friends in English department if you are a boy. I can imagine situation in which you are. In the situation, I want to say just one sentence,"be brave". I mean be brave is to  try to talk to students. In university, there is nothing more than friends. If you could did it, your valuable University life may become more valuable.Trying to talk is good thing,but Too much trying to do it is not good at all. My friend did. Please imagine the rest after he did!Anyway, you may feel nervous right? If I say that you don't have to be nervous about university, you would't be calm. Something fun, funny is waiting you in University.

The day before you go to entrance ceremony, you should prepare for it,and make sure anything necessary for it hard. If you don't do that, your first day will become worst day of University life like me. In my case, I awoke in time for it, but I made a very big mistake not a small mistake. That was I misunderstood the time of begging of entrance ceremony. When I arrived at ceremony hall, I wasn't allowed to get in the room ceremony was being held,so I watched kind of movie which is about ceremony I should have attended on another hall parents of students were. I felt so sad that I couldn't watch the movie. Actually, I felt sleepy though.While sitting down a seat on the hall, I saw a student who looked like a boy,so I thought that this boy also made same mistake like me. I asked him why he was there. He whispered that He.... student. I couldn't hear all of them he said,so I asked which department he would be in. He also whispered ... department. As a result of chatting of us, we couldn't communicate with each other. My university entrance ceremony was over. After finishing it, I moved to go somewhere. I didn't know where to go ,so I tried to talk to many students who went out from hall entrance ceremony was held. I asked them where I should go to gather. Since all of them I asked are not in English, they didn't know absolutely.I finally found the place I had to gather. In classroom, most of the students were girl. They were most pretty, beautiful women I've ever seen.
That's why my first day of university became a happy day of mine then.

Anyway, if you are eager to study English, all of professors will help you out, but if you are hesitant to study English,they will not only help but give away you.In my opinion, you have to be being eager to them. You don't have to be smart to be in English department. Just relax and study English!
If you don't satisfied with English classes you take like grammar class,Speaking class, please come to English Lounge where you can enjoy talking to international students,be taught English from senior students,professor,or international students. Also, you can teach Japanese to international students instead. Because most of international students study Japanese in KGU, you can share something enjoyable,hard to understand for a second language with them.I think when you try to enter, you also feel nervous like you feel when you enter University fast. You don't have to be nervous and brave because students in English Lounge may be friendly. Kindest student in it is of course me!lol I may be friendly to anyone, but I will encourage you to try to speak for you as an English lounge staff.If you are interested in TOEIC, I will talk to you about it a lot.

A Letter to Housemates

I am pleased you have decided to let me stay at your home in Canada. How is the weather in Canada? In this letter, I want to introduce myself and everything related to me. I major in English at KGU where many students study English eagerly. I hope to be a member of them.Department of KGU consist of six departments which are Commercial Science department,Second Commercial department,the economics department,language department which I am in,social welfare department, KGU is a famous University in Kumamoto prefecture.Japanese Universities differ from Universities of Canada. Japanese universities usually start the semester on April.There are many differences between Japanese Universities and Canadian Universities that i would like to learn about. I enjoy to study English with friends who are kind and eager. A lot of teachers I am taught by  deserve respect. They have their own characteristic personality.

Also I want to inform you of my hobbies. When I have some free time ,I often read a variety of books from non-fiction to fiction. I will try to read The economics on the internet so that I become interested in knowing something happen around the world. Another my hobby is to collect information related to fashionable items such as caps,shoes,clothes,etc. I want to go abroad by saving money ,but I intend to spend money on fashionable items,so I need assist from parents part of even money.How style is fashionable in Canada? I also want to know that. Since I am native Japanese,I want to teach you something 


Japan or Japanese culture you want to know. What kind of Japan do you want to know. Let me introduce one thing about characteristic of Japan. Because Geological of formation of Japan is piled up intricately,More earth quake occur in Japan than Canada.Just because many earthquake occur in Japan Japanese people don't lay by them because earth quakes are so mysterious for example when and where occur
